"I miss Chanco..."

I am so happy to connect back with Chanco In fact working closely with tourists at the beach for many summers whenever there is a mention of Chanco I can't help but smile and then frown a little and say "I miss Chanco...". What a magical place to be every summer growing up from age 8 all the way to age 17 when I was priveledged to be a counselor. I learned many things at Chanco and it is the part of the reason I am a teacher today!

I live in Buxton, North Carolina and teach first graders currently at the local elementary school. I love incorporating stories of the adventures I was able to experiece at Chanco whenever I get a chance. Maybe they will think they will be able to climb mountains, sail a boat, or crawl deep inside a freezing wet cave some day. The skills and responsibility I learned from being a counselor is a blessing to me now in the profession I work in. Thank you Chanco!! I still miss you.

SORRY ABOUT THE LARGE FONT ABOVE...I couldn't get it to change! :)
