2010 CCAA Reunion Registration

Registration for the 2010 CCAA Reunion is underway!  Once again, Chanco alumni will have the chance to return to the place that we've always called home.  September 24-26 is the weekend, so mark it on your calendar, fill out the registration form, pay a small $25 deposit, and then just show up!  It's that simple!  We have added a little incentive this year:  bring 2 other alumni with you and you each get a commemorative CCAA cup for free.  Free cup means free beer -- as the long as the kegs last!  The trick?  Mention the trio when you register, and th continue reading »

Return of a 2nd Generation Camper

It was only a couple of years ago that my oldest daughter, MacKenzie, said that she didn't want to go back to Chanco...  I am not often at a loss for words, but I truly didn't know what to say.  The gift that was always supposed to be a natural part of her upbringing wouldn't be there if she didn't experience Chanco, but...  she had a point, and I couldn't make her go.  If I forced her, it could mean ruining the possibility of any future for Chanco in her life.  All I could do was wait and see what the future would hold. continue reading »

Work Weekend 2010

Spring Work Weekend 2010 is just a short month away.  Be sure to mark your calendars for June 4-6.  Once again, we will be sleeping in the campsites and cooking our own food.  Bring what you need for the weekend.  Bring your spouse.
