Alumni Reunion Schedule

The reunion is right around the corner. Hard to believe that it is so rapidly approaching, and in true Camp Chanco fashion, we have had a flood of registrations in the last two weeks. Loads of folks I have not seen in years are coming, as well as a bunch of people I have yet to meet. It will be nice to have some new stories instead of me regurgitating the same one over and OVER again! There are, however, a few names I have yet to see on the list, and you know who you are. There is space left in the chalets but the conference rooms are rapidly disappearing. Do not let staying in the chalets discourage you from coming, they are actually quite nice and the weather will be perfect, no matter what it is! "Oh the Lord is good to me...“ So jump right in and sign up to be there! Remember, if you have ANY problems or reservations that might keep you from coming, PLEASE contact me at tater@chancoonce.com and we will do whatever it takes to get you there!

And speaking of getting you there, below is our schedule of how the weekend will play out. It took a lot of time and a great many margaritas to get this thing right, so please, be gentle if you have criticisms. Keep in mind, of course, the schedule is really more of a guideline than the actual rules, and as such is subject to change on a moments notice...much like summer camp! We will be playing music by the bluff on Friday night, so let us know if there is anything you just cannot live without hearing, perhaps an anthem from years past, and we will make certain it is on our playlist!  We have just booked singer/songwriter David Carter to play for your listening pleasure. He will be kicking off right after Indian Night. If you are not familiar with Dave, check out his website davidcarter.com. If you look on the left side you can listen to his music for free. His song “Cucumber Boat” is a particular favorite of mine. It is really shaping up to be an unbelievable weekend!!!

And one last request from Jim Sitzler, the camp director:  If you are planning to be at Fall fest on Sunday, whether you attend the reunion or not, Jim has asked that you call Stacy in the office at camp, 757 294 3126 and let her know. They need to have a general idea of how much food to prepare.

Enjoy the schedule, savor the anticipation, and relish in the fact that our weekend is just weeks away!!!

I'm embarassed to admit that I'm already getting the pre-camp jitters!!??   I don't know why I get so nervous about going somewhere that is ALWAYS so much fun!

And I was mortified to realize that I don't even remember exactly how to GET THERE!!!   A sign it's been WAY too long!!

 Can't wait to see everyone!

Emma

man oh man oh man

I can't freakin' WAIT!!! I'm compiling some old school tunes myself that we didn't get around to playing last year.

The schedule looks yummy delicious. I'll bring the war paint and a bit of Rock Lobster. I just hope that Carl Perry can dig up the old footlock speakers.........................ah, the memories.

Tater, I'm sure you still have plenty of stories left as do I. ;)
