Emma Ford

I was 11 years old, and a chubby, pink-cheeked, dorky little camper with a weird English accent the first year I went to Chanco ('87) and was sooooo scared to have to stay overnight at this weird place in the woods where I didn't know anyone (the OLD chanco... just to date myself a little)

Over the years, I came back every summer, and I got WAY cooler, Cool, heheh.   I even became a counselor and a member of  the waterfront staff from 1993-1995.

Since graduating from VT in '99, I became a licensed architect and I ws living in Charlotte the past 9 years... I just moved to Raleigh this past December.   The lessons I learned in life since then were nowhere near as hopeful and uplifting as the lessons learned at Chanco...

I still think my Chanco days were the best times of my life, and I crave that unconditional acceptance and love again. It sure can be a mean world out here...  but God seems to be getting me through it, thus far.....  Sometimes it seems like he's dragging me by my hair, backwards, through a thorny bush, but never-the-less, I'm getting through it!

I hope everyone is doing well, and I miss everyone lots!
