Wow... just wow...
I ran across this site in April, and was completely blown away. I'm thrilled to see the site, view the photos and read up on so many friends. Hats off to Greg Willis for putting this site together. It is wonderful to hear from so many folks I remember. I hope this message finds you all well and smiling most of the time.
Camp Chanco was a HUGE influence on my life. From my first session until my final turn at Senior High, I practically grew up there. I still find myself reminiscing about it frequently, some 30 or so years later. What a unique community... We had a large time, didn't we?
I'll spare you the boring details of my post - Chanco life and just sketch in the highlights... I graduated from VCU in 1987...moved to Atlanta in 1993...married my wife Dawn in 2002...was UBER blessed with twin sons (which necessitated a move to small-town South Carolina: it's a long story!) in 2004...I am hoping they'll be game for their first sessions in 2013!
I'm sending out warm fuzzies (Now THERE's a blast from the past, eh?) to anyone who may remember me, as well as to the extended Chanco family I have yet to meet.
Maybe I'll see you in the Fall...
