Bio

I first heard about camp through Emmanuel in Virginia Beach when I went to October Weekend in 1996 with EYC. I attended Sr. High in 1997 and truthfully, didn't like it much because I was a military brat who didn't know anyone. After staffing a few more retreats, I was asked to be "Bryce Keeper" in 1997 and came back for more every summer (Counselor, and Arts and Crafts Director) until 2003 - my last summer when I also served as Program Director.  Those summers were insane but so good for the soul and I still find myself missing them!

Now I live and work in Newport News. Not married (yet) but dating a wonderful guy who calls Ohio home (I won't hold it against him). I went to undergrad at Randolph-Macon College and completed my M.Ed in Higher Education from the College of William and Mary in 2005. I've been working at CNU ever since. First in Student Activities and now in the Dean of Students office where I work mostly with our Orientation program (which I like to call Summer Camp for College Students). I still try to remain active with Chanco by attending yearly retreats - especially Happening - and visiting friends who still live and work there. (We just can't get enough!). I love working with people and credit Camp for who I am AND all of the wonderful friends that I have in my life now.
