WHAT'S NEXT????
I have been reading all of the correspondence from today....Helen, I am soooo sorry for the troubles and hardship that your family is going thru right now, but I don't believe that this was meant to be an attack on Booomer...Unfortunately, boards have to eliminate positions, not the people per say....Thanks for asking the questions put out in the open....And Art, thank you for answering as you did....Now on to the business that I see at hand, what can we do to keep Chanco alive & running???? I can tell you that me, personally, I have solicited a friend who owns some sports stores in our Hampton Roads Area to put up posters & brochures on their cash stands & I have also begun calling all local parishes that do NOT have Chanco Parish Representatives to try & schedule open houses...Anything to get the word out to those who do not know about Chanco...Unfortunately, people are talking about taking their kids out, well, my 12 year old WILL be in third session for his first year attending Camp Chanco....along with my best friends son in first session....I don't want this tradition to die!!!!! This harrowing experience shows me further that which does not kill us makes us stronger....I would really like to continue to look at the positives and Camp CHanco is an experience that I want my children to have...For me, though sad & disheartened about the change in personnel, it's about what Chanco stands for...and looking towards a FUTURE for a place that shaped my life.....Peace, Luv, & Prayers To All & I hope that I haven't hurt any feelings or anything....Ali

Chanco's future, that's what's next!
Allison,
Thank you. Chanco needs more folks like you. It is about Chanco, not about a particular individual. Your message is positive. With your help, Chanco will be here for generations.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me. You also can call me at the Diocese.
Again, thank you,
Art
