Chanco Chums...

I was thinking a way to stay inolved till we help with the continuing of the new camp is to have a Chanco Chum secret buddy between alumni the summer...I'b be happy to spearhead the idea unless one of the alumni board would like to do it. I thought we could send notes, little care packages or the like. Another idea would be to adopt a Chanco staff member and we could be paired up with a current staff member and sent them stuff to keep up their spirits...and enough that they would be singing for there mail on occasion! These ideas if adopted the identities could be revealed at the reunion this fall! I'd be happy to be part of either or both if the powers that be think these are worthy...

Thanks, Phillip, for a wonderful idea. I'd love to be a part of this! It is heartening to see positive ideas and actions happening! Sue Boze, a long time Chanco Friend and Chanco Parish Rep, had a recent idea of alumni sending Caritas to the Happeners that will be attending Happening the weekend of April 25th. We will also be sure those Happeners have info on the Jr. Sr. High Session that we hope will take off this year (August 11-15). Contact me if anyone is interested in sending Caritas to the Happeners. Sue had another idea of having a specific prayer time for Chanco every night. Every night at 9 pm, anyone who is interested could say a quick prayer for Chanco. The power of prayer, especially collective prayer, is huge! So, I invite anyone to join in this prayer mission and I thank Sue Boze for her terrific ideas. Thanks to all!

Phillip - I think this is a great idea, and I sent it to the rest of the CCAA board to see what they think. We have a meeting this weekend, and we can discuss it then.
