Your Prayers are Needed

in

Some of you may have already heard the news, but I wanted to share this with everyone on the board. My mom was recently diagnosed with Cancer. She has Follicular Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Currently she is in the hospital and is preparing for her first round of chemo-therapy as I write this. She was not as active in Chanco as my dad and I were, but she knows how much the place means to us. Even though we have all gone our different ways, the Chanco Spirit has given us all a life long connection. I am writing this, because the Sawyer family is asking for everyone's prayers. This is a very dificult time for our family, but we have been blessed by all of the out pouring of love we have receeived. I just ask that you keep my mom, Linda, in your prayers as she begins her battle to beat this illness. Thanks, Chris

Thoughts and prayers are with all of your family

Chris, I heard the news at church on Christmas Eve, please let me know if you need a friend to talk to.  I have finish my first month and 1/2 of treatment and have met some wonderful & postive people who have cancer, and are beating it.  I was very fortunate.  Of all the persons I have talked with while I was receiving treatment, all where very up beat and happy to be alive.  I believe this helps the healing process a lot.  Keep a postive outlook and let me know if I can do anything.  Please keep us posted on the progress.  Peace Rob

I have been thinking about you all

Hi Chris,

I am sorry to hear about your mom.  I did actually find out over xmas.  My Grandfather is battling lung cancer right now and All Saints and your Dad have been very supportive.  We all said many prayers for your Mom over the holidays and I have continued to hold all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

It is anamazing world we live in where without even knowing it, you can have people all over thinking of you and praying for you and I know that there is an extensive network of prayers out there for the Sawyers.  You and your family have meant so much to me and my family through the years, the spiritual support and friendship from you all has helped me through so many tough and happy times.

Please pass along all my love to the family.  I hope to see you in the near future and know that even though I am not physically in Va. Beach right now, most of the Brannegan's are and we are here if you all need anything.

Shannon, It was great to

Shannon,

It was great to hear from you. Your kind words mean more than you know.  It has been a long time since we talked and that is why this is such a great site.  Thank you for your prayers and please tell your family thank you as well.

Chris
