Chanco Spirit...

I just dropped off my 12 year old son for his first Camp Chanco experience at 3rd Session...a whole 2 weeks...and let me tell you, I have had an awful case of that green-eyed monster, JEALOUSY!!!!   I have repeatedly asked him if I could stow away in his footlocker for the past week.  I remember so fondly the excitement of that first day...who will I see??, who will be back this year??, what campsite will I be in???  what kind of fun stuff will I get to do???   Ohhhh the fun he will have!!!  He was even singing in the car on the way about how Mom didn't get to go as I laughed at him  continue reading »

Wow... just wow...

I ran across this site in April, and was completely blown away. I'm thrilled to see the site, view the photos and read up on so many friends. Hats off to Greg Willis for putting this site together. First Session, my favorite session

Ahhh, First session. Less than a week away. As a staff member, I loved first session more than any other. Since it is about to start, and my daughter will be attending (first time last year) I thought I would blog what I liked about it and see what some of your opinions are too. I was so happy when I discovered this site about a year ago. It's fun seeing more and more people on here and seeing names that I know, especially people who went to my church. I still randomly sing camp songs and Chanco has a very special place in my heart.
